Sneak Your Way to Victory in PS3 Madden 10

With a high-intensity soundtrack, PS3 Madden 10 players will get even more for their gaming dollar. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). Get a load of these songs, and tell me you're not sold on the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. If that ain't enough to sell you on PS3 Madden 10, maybe a history lesson will help. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. But when you look at the old versus the new, you can truly appreciate the epic nature of PS3 Madden 10. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. The downside was, the gaming technology wasn't quite up to speed yet, so video football fanatics had to settle, in a big way. "All the excitement" of the real thing, the game publishers crowed back then. Competition was nonexistent, so this one was a huge hit for the biggest video game console in the day.

Those guys on the playing field sure couldn't pass for actual football players. Let's get that out of the way. As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. No scrolling screen, either. Not long afterwards, the main competition developed a more advanced football video game for their console. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. But it was still nothing too impressive. Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held.

Makes sense that it was so revered by the hardcore gamer - it really was the first true attempt to recreate the NFL. Everything - sound, visuals - got such a major upgrade that this was the final word in sports video games. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. Take a look at it, after taking in all of those older games. Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. But there's no purpose in ragging on the early games. No need to beat a dead horse. Those games, while archaic, got us to where we are today, and for that, they deserve their place in the video game hall of fame (though that first one may be better off in "video game hall of shame.") Gamers are happy, and with good cause - PS3 Madden 10 really kicked this one through the goal posts. And of course, the critics are equally enthusiastic about PS3 Madden 10, which is even more good news for fans of the franchise. Reviews for PS3 Madden 10 are filled with praise such as "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise.

Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Hey, each PlayStation sports video game is EPIC in its own way, but for our money, PS3 Madden 10 is the stuff legends are made of. In the video game world, PS3 football games begin and end with Madden. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks.

PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
